About the role

The maintenance operations coordinator’s duties include:

  • Apply the company’s Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) principles through a “Zero by choice” initiative;
  • Assist management with developing, updating, and achieving company goals, as well as meeting operational deadlines and budget considerations;
  • Oversee the technical staff and maintenance under his responsibility;
  • Support and monitor all project’s startup, tracking and constructability stages;
  • Insure the training and the conception of the maintenance and operation’s documentation;
  • Support the continuous improvement process.

About you

The maintenance operations coordinator shall have the following qualifications:

  • Outstanding, steadfast commitment to safety in the workplace;
  • University diploma in industrial applications;
  • At least five (5) years of industry experience, including three (3) in a management capacity;
  • Ability to work within a flexible organisational structure;
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills;
  • Outstanding initiative, resourcefulness and self-reliance;
  • Strong French and English language skills (both oral and written);
  • Aluminium production experience (asset);
  • R&D and/or business startup experience (asset).
